The Touch of Your Smile
There were so many faces in the crowd,
Then I was suddenly struck by your smile.
It held me captive with it's sweetness.
I was lost in a dream, stunned for awhile.
I looked away for what seemed an eternity.
It was only a minute away from the allure.
Only to look into the treasures again,
Of a smile so enduring and pure.
At first, I thought I was mistaken,
That your smile was flowing in my direction.
Suddenly it acquired my whole attention.
For, it lured me in sweet redemption.
My surroundings became an empty blur,
As your smile clearly made me aware.
Although we stood so far apart.
That your smile was a gift for my heart.

Tears From the Heart
I wrote this poem years ago when I was going through some deep heartbreak and heartache in my life.. I've made some changes to this poem.
Tears from the heart
Fallen drops of sadness.
Streaming down my sullen face.
Pain forms a misty waterfall
That leaves me in disgrace
Walking through this teary tunnel
I see nothing but the shame
Of losing my dignity
In playing loves game
Playing on the shores
Of oceans and fears
Waiting to be formed
Gathered by the years
No one ever knows
When pain will strike the heart
Emotions pain and agony
To tear the dreams apart
I await the day with patience
For time to close this wound
As patience is a virtue
The joy will surely come soon
Through moments of my sadness
I yearn for hope that pain will ebb
For surely love has not forgotten
That time will break this web
Tears from the heart
Fallen drops of sadness.
Streaming down my sullen face.
Pain forms a misty waterfall
That leaves me in disgrace
Walking through this teary tunnel
I see nothing but the shame
Of losing my dignity
In playing loves game
Playing on the shores
Of oceans and fears
Waiting to be formed
Gathered by the years
No one ever knows
When pain will strike the heart
Emotions pain and agony
To tear the dreams apart
I await the day with patience
For time to close this wound
As patience is a virtue
The joy will surely come soon
Through moments of my sadness
I yearn for hope that pain will ebb
For surely love has not forgotten
That time will break this web

I Am Waiting For A Friend
I am waiting for a friend
A friend who never leaves
A friend that knows when to listen
A friend who will help carry my burdens,
when I am too tired to go on
A friend who is not afraid to cry with me
A friend that knows my heart
A friend that gives from the heart
A friend I can call on daily
A friend that loves unconditionally.

Motion
When I think of motion, I think of waves
The waves of life as we move to it's beat
Motion is the beat of the heart in rhythmic tones
It is a note of joy when two hearts meet.
It is laughter and smiles among friends
That brings joyous movement to our faces
It is candid moments of beauty that's unforgettable
There is certain motion in the most familiar places.
A stereo of sound is motion for dance
Through the airwaves of time it sets a mood
Sending our senses into a tumult of thoughts
We play in motion to the sound of music
Motion in progress is what we crave
It calls us in every sense of existence
The wind in motion is a cress of loveliness
Pushing us forward with loving persistence.
Beauty is the unfolding of a rose in motion
It is the petals of color that exudes the essence
The motion of creation in it's finest form of growth
Flooding the atmosphere with a fragrance of finesse
Motion gives us a delicacy in life
Existence is motion, motion is existence.

In The Night
Eyes open in the midst of darkness
Midnight thoughts awakening my senses
Where visions dance of living dreams
Of times gone by in moments it seems
Moment by moment time writes a part
In the plays of life as a true form of art
Sleep evades this wondering mind
Its never ending session of hope for human kind.

Quote by Washington Irving
There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief. . . and unspeakable love.

Journey of Conscience
My heart had felt a very great stress,
Soft hands were callused from hard work,
The toils of life had pushed me down,
To a place that was void of mirth.
There was pride in my destination,
My thoughts were set on wealth.
And in the midst of all of these,
I was slowly losing my health.
I sought prestige with material advantage,
These selfish yearnings were all in vain.
Then I was given the growth of wisdom,
Like sweet sunshine after the rain.
T. Davis
In the test of time and moment of truth.
When I saw the straight path of redemption.
It was the things the world would offer,
Which were not worthy of honorable mention.
As time passed slowly before my eyes,
All hopes and dreams had vanished.
For the things I thought were important,
Were gradually and inevitably relinquished.
Now contentment rests surely with love
Joy and happiness comes from the heart.
These are wonderful treasures of life,
Gracefully given to us from the start.
